About Manning Against Mining Alliance
Manning Against Mining Alliance Inc is a non-political defined community organisation committed to protecting the Manning Valley, it's waterways, land, eco-systems and cultural sites from inappropriate mining.
We started as a collective of concerned community members who had not been consulted by MCi Carbon in the proposed mining exploration within 3 of our communities.
We have banded together to form a Not-for-Profit, volunteer run organisation with the sole mission to prevent organisations (such as MCI Carbon) from coming into our valley and destroying our ecosystems, waterways & livelihoods through destructive & inappropriate mining operations.
Mining activities such as these could eventually pollute the water ways for over 35,000+ homes, cause ongoing health issues, destroy countless family farms that provide food and local produce across the Manning Valley / beyond and eco-systems for many animals including those listed as endangered.
